20240222_Mushroom Bibimbap Making Class (for Vegetarians)

Korean Food Promotion and Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Mushroom Bibimbap Making Class (for Vegetarians)” on Thursday, February 22nd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Bibimbap is composed of two Korean words: “bibim” meaning to mix, and “bap” meaning rice. Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with “namul” (vegetable side dishes) or kimchi and gochujang, soy sauce, or doenjang (soybean paste). Through this class, you will learn the step-by-step process for making bibimbap. What makes this time special is that we are going to use sorted mushrooms instead of marinated beef, so vegetarians would be delighted to have bibimbap too.

An instructor will show a demonstration on how to make the bibimbap, and then we will have time to make them. You don’t need to bring anything, as everything, including a to-go box, an apron, etc., will be prepared by the institution.

This class will be held near Anguk Station (Line 3). You will need to pay 11,000 won of participation fee in advance. Once you register, specific details, including basic ingredients, etc., will be sent to you. To register, email us your name, nationality, and phone number.

Language of instruction: English
