Gwanghwamun Square Tour

To celebrate the re-opening of Gwanghwamun Square, Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Gwanghwamun Square Tour” on Thursday, September 22nd from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Gwanghwamun Square, which used to be the widest road in the Republic of Korea, was re-opened on August 6, 2022, after a year and nine months of renovation, and is reborn as a symbolic place harmonized with the environment and 600-year-old history.

Tour route:
Gwanghwamun Square → Sejong Center for the Performing Arts → Sejong-daero Forest Road → Starting Point of Mile Posts → Seoul Metropolitan Council → In front of Daehanmun Gate, Deoksugung Palace → Seoul City Hall Plaza → Cheonggye Plaza → The 40th Anniversary Monument of Gojong’s Enthronement → Observatory of National Museum of Korean Contemporary History

Together with an English-speaking tour guide, you will be able to know Korean history from Joseon Dynasty to modern history at a glance while walking along Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul Metropolitan Council, and Seoul Plaza.
