K-Cooking Class: Three Kinds of Jeon

On November 19th (SAT) from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will be holding a Korean Food Cooking Class. This class will be held at a cooking studio (Hansik Space Eum) near Anguk Station.

This time we will cook three kinds of jeon (전): lotus root jeon, oyster jeon, and shrimp jeon. Jeon is a type of fritter and it is also sometimes called as “Korean pancake”. It is made by coating some ingredients like lotus root, oyster, or shrimp, and other vegetables in wheat flour and egg wash before frying them in oil. Almost any type of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables can be turned into jeon. It is usually served as an appetizer or as a side dish.

** FOOD ALLERGY WARNING: Basic ingredients that will be used in this class are as follows:
- oysters, shrimp, lotus root, fritter flour (wheat flour), eggs, oil

**Please take note of this before registering. The cooking center cannot change any ingredients listed above.
