War Memorial of Korea Tour

Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “War Memorial of Korea Tour” on Friday, November 18th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Korea became divided into two countries along the 38th parallel and was occupied respectively by the US and the USSR, who decided that this would be effective for the demobilization and disarmament of the Japanese Armed Forces. Korean people made enthusiastic efforts for reunification but they were to no avail, and the Koreans in the south established the Republic of Korea on August 15, 1948, in accordance with the procedures set by the United Nations. Through the exhibitions, you will be able to know the history connected with the liberation of the Korean Peninsula from Japanese colonial rule and the Korean War.

Before the tour, you can enjoy watching military musical performances including the women's honor guard marching at the Peace Plaza of War Memorial (*subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions, etc.).

This tour will be held near Samgakji Station (Line 4, 6). This tour is free of charge. Once you have completed your registration, specific details will be emailed to you. To register, email us your name, nationality, and mobile number in Korea. (Email: moonsr@yongsan.go.kr)
