20251205&12_YSWC Cafeteria Volunteering
Itaewon Global Village Center is looking for volunteers to help out at Yongsan Senior Welfare Center. They need volunteers to help at their in-house kitchen on December 5th and 12th, 2025 (both Fridays) from 10:30AM to 1:00PM
Yongsan Senior Welfare Center is located in Hannam-dong, and they cater to Korean elderly where the elderly can congregate, participate in various activities, and unwind. The center is also home to a cafeteria where elderly folks have their lunch. They feed about 400-500 Korean grandmas & grandpas. They require assistance with food distribution, kitchen cleanup, and helping elderly people with mobility issues. Your assistance is needed because they lack the manpower to help out at the cafeteria.
If you want to be one of the volunteers, register by filling out the form (or scan the QR code on the poster): https://bit.ly/yswccafeteria_dec2025
⇒ Volunteer Certificates can be issued if needed. If you have a 1365 ID, please include that and your DOB when you register.
⇒ Please be advised that Itaewon GVC does NOT provide any kind of visa sponsorship, an official invitation for immigration purposes, accommodation, or compensation for these volunteer activities.

20251210_YSWC English Conversations with Seniors Volunteering
Itaewon Global Village Center will help out at the Yongsan Senior Welfare Center on December 10th (Wed) from 3:00pm to 4:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers that can join us that day.
One of the programs of Yongsan Senior Welfare Center is an English class to help retired seniors practice their English language ability. Most of the seniors who are part of the class were professionals during their younger days, and most of them have a good command of the English language. However, as time passes and due to the lack of people they can converse with, most of them have forgotten how to use the language. Through this class, they aim to regain the confidence they used to have. By volunteering, you will be able to help them practice their English speaking skills. You don’t need to be a native English speaker to join. (BUT OF COURSE, THE ABILITY TO CONVERSE IN ENGLISH FLUENTLY IS REQUIRED.) Don’t worry if you cannot speak Korean. However, only foreign adults aged 18 years old and above can join this activity.
If you want to be one of the volunteers, please fill out the form: https://bit.ly/yswceng_dec2025

20251212_Step-by-Step Painting Class: Christmas
On December 12th (Fri) from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will be hosting a Step-by-Step Painting Class. For this class, participants will be learning how to paint a Christmas Tree using acrylic paint. Since this is a step-by-step class, it is beginner friendly and is recommended to those who would just like to explore their artistic side. The canvass is on the smaller side (about a size of a hand of an adult) and because of this, the real challenge is to actually learn how to paint using smaller strokes.
The participation fee for this class is 18,000 won/ participant. Advance payment is required. I will email you all the details (including payment details) once you have completed the registration.
Language of Instruction: Korean with English Interpretation
To join, register by filling out the form:
