20260414_Cooking Class: 두부 강된장 쌈밥

Itaewon Global Village Center, together with Korean Food Promotion Institute, is hosting a Korean cooking class on April 14th (Tues) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Hansik Space Eum (near Anguk Station). This time we will learn how to make Dubu Gangdoenjang Ssambap (Tofu Soybean Paste Rice Rolls).

Dubu Gangdoenjang Ssambap (두부 강된장 쌈밥) is a traditional Korean dish centered around rice wrapped in fresh leafy vegetables (such as lettuce or perilla leaves) and paired with a rich, thick soybean paste stew known as gangdoenjang. In this version, soft tofu (dubu) is added to the savory paste, enhancing both its texture and nutritional value. The dish is typically enjoyed by assembling bite-sized wraps (ssam) with rice, tofu-infused doenjang, and optional vegetables or side dishes.

From a health perspective, Dubu Gangdoenjang Ssambap is well-balanced and nutrient-dense. Tofu provides high-quality plant-based protein and essential amino acids, while fermented soybean paste (doenjang) contains probiotics that may support gut health. The abundance of fresh vegetables adds dietary fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, which contribute to improved digestion and overall well-being. Additionally, because the dish relies more on natural, minimally processed ingredients and less on heavy oils, it can be a wholesome option for those seeking a nutritious and satisfying meal.

FOOD ALLERGY WARNING: (*Please take note of these ingredients before signing-up for the class. Hansik Space Eum WILL NOT make any changes on the recipe.) The ingredients that will be used for this class is as follows: steamed rice, doenjang (fermented soybean paste), bean curd, golden oak mushroom, onion, zucchini, green chili, red chili, green onion, garlic, chili pepper powder, sesame oil, kale leaf , tofu

The participation fee for this class is 15,000 won. Advanced payment for the class is REQUIRED. I will email you all the details (including payment details) once you have completed the registration.

**NOTE: 15,000won is for the ingredients ONLY. Teacher's fee etc., are sponsored by Korea Food Promotion Institute.

20260429_K-beauty Idol Look Makeup Class with Amorepacific

Itaewon Global Village Center, together with Amorepacific Singil Center, is hosting a special K-Makeup (Idol Makeup) Class on April 29th (Wed) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Amorepacific Singil Center (near Sinpung Station). In this session, we will dive into the secrets of achieving the iconic "Idol Look" that has defined the global K-Beauty trend.

K-Beauty has gained immense international popularity for its focus on flawless, luminous skin and delicate yet impactful "point" makeup. Among these trends, Idol Makeup stands out for its ability to create a youthful, vibrant, and "camera-ready" appearance. This style is characterized by a perfect "glass skin" base, sparkling eye aesthetics using fine glitters, and naturally flushed lips. Mastering these techniques allows individuals to enhance their natural features with the same professional touch seen on K-Pop stages.

This class is designed as a highly practical, hands-on workshop. It will begin with a professional instructor performing a step-by-step demonstration on a model, revealing the specific layering and blending secrets used by industry experts. Following the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to practice the makeup look on themselves, applying the techniques in real-time.

NOTE ON MATERIALS: All essential makeup products and materials will be provided by Amorepacific Singil Center and the instructor. However, if you have your own personal makeup brushes, we highly recommend bringing them to the class for a more seamless and personalized practice session.

The participation fee for this class is 35,000 won. Advanced payment for the class is REQUIRED. I will email you all the details (including payment details) once you have completed the registration. To register, fill out the form at (or scan the QR code on the poster)
