To celebrate the International Women’s Day, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Buddhist Meditation Session for Women” on Saturday, March 11th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

In search of answers to life, Buddha sought and discovered the Four Noble Truths.
1. There is suffering.
2. There is the cause of suffering.
3. There is the cessation of suffering.
4. There are the ways of the cessation of suffering.

He thought suffering comes from our way of understanding world, and believed that we have a problem in the process of knowing things.

By practicing meditation, we can understand the world's reality, not just the concept or the perception; we can get an insight of the Truth based upon wisdom grown by practice. For this program, we will learn the Buddhist way of meditation, the proper orientation, and sitting and walking meditation. We will also have a short conversation and a brief talk about dhamma.

The meeting place will be near Omokyo Station (Line5). The program is free of charge but registration is a must. SPOTS ARE LIMITED. Once you register, specific details will be sent to you. To register, email us your name, nationality, and phone number. (Email: moonsr@yongsan.go.kr)

Language of instruction: English
