On Tuesday, October 14th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Yongsan Senior Welfare Center and Itaewon Global Village Center will co-host a special cultural program, “Hanbok Stroll at the Palace.”

Seoul is home to five grand royal palaces from the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), each offering a glimpse into Korea’s rich history and architectural beauty. During this program, you will be paired with one or two Korean elders and explore two of these remarkable palaces together while wearing the elegant hanbok, Korea’s traditional attire.

Guided by grandmothers and grandfathers, you will discover the history and charm of one of the palaces in Seoul - Changdeokgung. Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the best-preserved of Seoul’s royal palaces. It once served as the main residence of kings and the royal family, as well as a venue for important state affairs.
