20251126_Cooking Class: Kimchijeon

Itaewon Global Village Center, together with Korean Food Promotion Institute, is hosting a Korean cooking class on November 26, 2025 (Wed) 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Hansik Space Eum (near Anguk Station). This time we will be learning how to make Kimchijeon.

Kimchi Jeon, or kimchi pancake, is a popular Korean dish made by mixing chopped kimchi with flour batter and pan-frying it until crispy. It is a beloved comfort food, especially enjoyed on rainy days. Its roots are closely tied to "Kimjang," the traditional process of making and sharing kimchi in large quantities before winter. During Kimjang season, families often use leftover or well-fermented kimchi to make Kimchi Jeon, turning the hard work of kimchi-making into a warm, shared meal that celebrates community and tradition.

FOOD ALLERGY WARNING: (*Please take note of these ingredients before signing-up for the class. Hansik Space Eum WILL NOT make any changes on the recipe.) The ingredients that will be used for this class is as follows: napa cabbage kimchi, oil, flour, water, eggs, pork, squid, clam meat, green onions, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar

The participation fee for this class is 11,000 won. Advanced payment for the class is REQUIRED. I will email you all the details (including payment details) once you have completed the registration.

**NOTE: 11,000won is for the ingredients ONLY. Teacher's fee etc., are sponsored by Korea Food Promotion Institute.
