20260514_Hanmi Museum Guided Tour
On May 14, 2026 (Thursday) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will be visiting Museum Hanmi Samcheong (45 Samcheong-ro 9-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, 03049)
Established in November 2003 as Korea’s first museum dedicated specifically to photography, Museum Hanmi has been a pioneer in the field. The museum bridges the gap between traditional photography and contemporary art, embracing the evolution of the medium into the digital age. From classic prints to cutting-edge video and new media art, Museum Hanmi is a vibrant space where history and modern creativity meet.
The museum is currently presenting a special exhibition titled 《Every Moment is a Flower Bud》. This exhibition honors four pioneering masters—Yook Myong shim, Hong Soon tai, Han Chung shik, and Park Young sook—who expanded the horizons of Korean contemporary photography through their unique perspectives. During this guided tour, participants will have the opportunity to walk through the exhibition and reflect on the artistic legacy and historical layers of Korea. It will be a meaningful time to contemplate how these artists captured nature, humanity, and the flow of time.
The participation fee for this tour is 15,000 won. Advanced payment for the class is REQUIRED. I will email you all the details (including payment details & direction to the museum) once you have completed the registration.
