The Itaewon Global Village Center has been cooperating with the Goodwill Store. This well-known social welfare enterprise gives employment opportunities to physically and mentally challenged individuals.
We have a Goodwill Store donation bin at the center and have been taking any used clothing or household items that foreign residents would like to donate. These items are then collected by Goodwill and sold in their store. Especially if you are leaving Korea, donating the things you cannot take with you to Goodwill is a great way to help because these items will be sold to people who need them and the proceeds benefit a good cause.
Donations can be dropped off anytime during our working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (lunch break is at 12:00 PM -1:00 PM) Monday through Friday. Items that are acceptable as donations include clothing, household items, books, toys, kitchen utensils, small sports equipment, and small household electronic items. If you are unsure whether or not something is okay to be donated, please contact us first before coming to drop it off. Of course, all donated items must be in clean and in good working condition. Broken items or unwashed clothing will not be accepted.
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE USED BEDDING, USED PILLOWS, USED PILLOWCASES, USED LINENS, USED RAGS, USED DUVET COVERS, USED DUVETS, USED SOCKS, USED UNDERWEAR, car seats, ETC. (please see picture below)
